Stainless steel reservoirs for PW or WFI storage and recirculation loop

The storage vessels are made of AISI316L stainless steel, mirror gloss inside, with AISI304 stainless steel outer coil for heating or cooling and thermal insulation jacket insulated with mineral wool.
They have a storage capacity of 300 … 18,000 liters, depending on customer requests.
Each tank is individually designed and tested, resistant to pressures between -1 bar … +3 bar, being equipped with a „rupture disc” type safety valve.

The tanks are equipped with a capacitive level sensor, with continuous measurement of the level of water stored in the tank, sterile vent filter with anti-condensation heating jacket and manhole with convex profile, which allows washing the lid without compromise.

The purified water distribution loop has a complex design, which complies with the most demanding GMP rules, avoiding stagnant areas and dead legs.

The distribution loop contains aseptic diaphragm T-shape valves, with pneumatic or manual actuation, tube-in-tube heat exchangers, conductivity sensors, temperature, pressure and flow / speed, TOC, parameters continuously monitored by PLC in the central part of the automation panel.

The recirculation loop is equipped with a UV-C irradiation unit with an intensity of 300 J / m2 equipped with HO low pressure lamps of 254 nm and a service life time of 9000 hours. The UV unit includes a selective UV-C type optical sensor with a 4-20 mA signal to the central PLC.

For pipes and fittings in contact with purified water we use AISI316L stainless steel, Ra 0.8 … 0.5 μm, joined by orbital welding.
The recirculation loop is calculated with a drain slope for complete emptying in case of need, without dead legs.
